Sunstone Gemstones – Natural Loose Stones with Copper Aventurescence

A Sparkling Gift from the Sun

Sunstone is a natural feldspar gemstone treasured for its warm hues and distinctive aventurescence—a glittering optical effect caused by reflective copper or hematite platelets within the crystal. This internal shimmer gives each sunstone a lively, almost solar glow, earning its name and setting it apart from other feldspars.

Natural Beauty in Every Shade

From soft golden orange to deep reddish copper, sunstones display a captivating color range. Some rare specimens also show greenish or bicolor tones. Whether cut as faceted gems or polished as cabochons, each stone offers a dynamic play of light, perfect for custom jewelry or for gem enthusiasts seeking unique optical effects.

Oregon Sunstone and Copper-Rich Inclusions

Among the most prized sunstones are those from Oregon, known for their untreated nature and visible copper inclusions. These inclusions not only produce aventurescence but often create vivid metallic flashes in pink, gold, and even rainbow tones. At MdMaya Gems, we select loose sunstones that showcase this natural beauty without compromise.

For Custom Jewelry and Collectors Alike

Sunstone’s combination of affordability, rarity, and brilliance makes it an ideal choice for custom rings, pendants, or statement earrings. Its warm energy and glowing sparkle speak to those who value both visual allure and mineralogical uniqueness.
