The first thing we look for in precious stones is their beauty. But beauty is subjective and is very difficult to classify.

One thing I have learned over time is that when loose gemstones are sold, the buyers are often gem collectors, look for their birthstone or they will use the gem to make a custom piece of jewelry; an engagement ring, a wedding ring, or something very special.  In which case they are very clear about the color they are looking for, come in and discover which is your favorite color!

Blue Sapphire 1.16 ct oval cut. Beautiful untreated blue sapphire. This little one of just over one carat shows a pretty blue color. It has an elongated blue cut that is not perfect, since its culet is somewhat displaced, but we have to bear in mind that it is difficult to find rough material without treating it, so it is takes full advantage of it.
